I never noticed this many runway shows that were as in sync when it came to trends. The trends for fall/winter 2009 are powerful and bold and the looks I'm about to list were pretty much seen all across the board. Here's what the team at Portia Jewelry came up with. Call it a quick fall 09 reference or cheat sheet! Throw in your own comments at Portia's official blog here: Portiajewelry.blogspot.com

Sparkle and Shine - Strong Metallics with the use of sequins and studs. Seen mostly in copper and gunmetal as well as any electric color imaginable.

Sexy and Strong Shoulders - 3.1 Phillip Lim, Gucci, Donna Karen, Carolina Herrera and many more designers gave us a glimpse of the 80's with an updated version of exaggerated shoulders. The emphasis on one of women's sexiest parts - the shoulders - were appreciated with off the shoulder tops and dresses, bare shoulder ensembles and pointed or puffed dresses, tops and outerwear.

Big Jewelry- This season is about BIG jewelry. Standout necklaces with lots of layers and mixed styles to turn as many heads as possible. Opt for metallics and leather bangles and cuffs to sport these trends this season if a head to toe leather and metallic look is a bit much for you. Grab some stacked bracelets and bangles with beads and stones set in rich colored enamel - Think Russian princess. Thick chain linked necklaces and bracelets to show your powerful and sexy side. Big and bold cocktail rings using abnormal components such as leather, stretch bands and enamel are the latest. Plus, use studs and rhinestones to glamify hard leather and use color to brighten the blackness of everything. View and Shop all the latest Fashion Jewelry Trends!
